Duke Recording Spaces

The Multimedia Project Studio at Bostock Library includes an audio booth available free of charge by reservation to members of the Duke community.

Bryan Center Studios: record podcasts AND bring in faculty for interviews in a controlled studio environment.

Always Provide a Transcript

• Always provide a transcript (in platform where work is posted, or downloadable in readable formats (HTML, TXT, PDF)
• Use clear, understandable language (avoid jargon)
• Ensure good audio quality and minimize background noise
• Add captions for videos, synced with speech. Include speaker identification.
• Provide audio in widely supported, accessible formats (MP3, WAV)
• Consider screen reader compatibility (semantic headings, proper labeling)
